Compromised Electric Vehicles are quickly becoming one of the larger hazards to the Towing and Recovery industry. With the ability to Start and stop itself and the increased frequency of spontaneous combustions you cant be too careful with them.
The Emergency Plug will immobilize the vehicle making it safe for you and your crew to work around. Installation is as simple as pushing a small button, opening the charge door and inserting the Emergency Plug. It will flash Blue letting you know that the vehicle is safe to work around and the vehicle is now in park. There are a variety of other flashes that can let you know if the vehicles system is compromised.
From the manufacturer:
"The Emergency responders who arrives on scene first, places the Emergency plug in the charging connection of the vehicle. The plug makes the car's software think that the car is charging. In every car worldwide, software is regulated that when a car is charging, it may not be able to drive away. Every manufacturer had to build in the same protocol to prevent serious damage to charging stations and the electricity grid.
The Emergency plug is equipped with two different plug types (type 1 & type 2). With this one plug you can therefore block all types of plug-in cars against driving away. Using the Emergency-plus is very easy to handle that no training is required."
